Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your access to and use of the JJOBB website, platform, application, and recruitment services (“Platform”).  By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, uploading a CV, submitting an application, or using a JJOBB service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge JJOBB’s Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms,

do not use the Platform.

1. JJOBB’s Role
JJOBB provides recruitment-related services and connects candidates with companies and recruitment agencies.
JJOBB does not guarantee that:
• you will be contacted;
• you will receive an interview;
• you will receive a job offer;
• you will be hired; or
• any opportunity will remain available.
Companies and recruitment agencies are responsible for their own job listings, decisions, communications, recruitment processes, and use of information they receive.

2. Account Information
You must provide information that is accurate and not misleading.
You must not:
• impersonate another person;
• use false information;
• share or misuse another person’s account;
• use the Platform unlawfully;
• send spam, scams, or unauthorised promotions;
• interfere with the Platform;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access; or
• upload harmful code or content.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Notify JJOBB promptly if you believe your account has been misused.

3. Your CV and Content
You retain ownership of your CV, profile, messages, and other content that you submit to JJOBB (“Your Content”).
You give JJOBB permission to use Your Content as reasonably necessary to provide and administer its services, subject to the JJOBB Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership of Your Content to JJOBB.
You confirm that:
• Your Content is accurate and not misleading;
• you have the right to provide it;
• it does not violate another person’s rights;
• it does not contain unlawful or harmful material; and
• it does not include unnecessary private information, such as passwords, bank details, or identity-document numbers.
JJOBB may remove or restrict content that breaches these Terms, applicable law, or the proper use of the Platform.

4. Confidential Profiles and Anonymity
JJOBB may create or use a confidential version of your CV or profile for recruitment purposes.
A confidential CV or profile does not guarantee anonymity. You may still be identifiable from information you provide, including:
• distinctive job titles;
• employment history;
• specialised qualifications;
• project descriptions;
• location details; or
• other professional information.
You are responsible for reviewing the information you submit and deciding whether to omit or generalise details that could identify you.
JJOBB is not responsible for identification resulting solely from information you provided, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

5. Sharing Your Information
JJOBB may share your confidential profile with suitable companies and recruitment agencies for recruitment purposes.
JJOBB will normally share your personal details and original CV with a company or recruitment agency only after you accept the relevant interview or contact request.
This does not prevent JJOBB from sharing information where required or permitted by law, or where reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, or administer the Platform.
Service Providers
JJOBB may share information with its affiliates and authorised service providers where reasonably necessary to operate, maintain, secure, and provide the Platform. These may include providers supporting:
• hosting;
• data processing;
• communications;
• security; and
• technical administration.
The handling of personal information is explained in JJOBB’s Privacy Policy.
Information Shared with Third Parties
Once information has been lawfully shared with a company, recruitment agency, service provider, or other authorised recipient, that recipient may retain and use it in accordance with its own privacy policy, retention practices, and legal obligations.
JJOBB may not be able to retrieve, amend, or delete information held by that recipient. JJOBB will handle requests concerning information it controls in accordance with applicable law and its Privacy Policy.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, JJOBB is not responsible for information retained or used by an independent recipient after it has been lawfully shared.
 
6. Jobs and Applications
Job listings and recruitment information may be provided by companies, recruitment agencies, partners, or other sources.
JJOBB does not guarantee that such information is:
• accurate;
• complete;
• current;
• suitable; or
• available.
You should verify relevant information before sharing further information, attending an interview, or accepting an offer.
JJOBB is not responsible for the actions, decisions, communications, or conduct of companies, recruitment agencies, candidates, or other users.

7. Communications
JJOBB may contact you about:
• your account;
• the Platform;
• recruitment opportunities;
• job alerts;
• interview or contact requests;
• security matters; and
• changes to these Terms.
Marketing communications are subject to your preferences and applicable law. You may unsubscribe from marketing messages at any time using the available unsubscribe option or by contacting JJOBB.

8. Platform Changes and Availability
JJOBB may update, change, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Platform.
JJOBB does not guarantee that the Platform will always be:
• available;
• uninterrupted;
• error-free;
• secure; or
• free from harmful components.

9. Third-Party Services and Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services.
JJOBB does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, privacy practices, products, services, or actions.
Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.

10. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design, branding, software, text, graphics, and other materials, belongs to JJOBB or its licensors unless stated otherwise.
You may use the Platform only for its intended purpose and in accordance with these Terms.
You must not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, scrape, reverse engineer, extract, or commercially exploit the Platform without JJOBB’s prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

11. Security and Unauthorised Use
You must not:
• access accounts or systems without authorisation;
• bypass security features;
• interfere with the Platform;
• introduce malicious code;
• copy or extract information without permission; or
• use automated tools in a way that could harm or overload the Platform.
JJOBB takes reasonable measures to protect the Platform but cannot guarantee complete security.

12. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Platform and request closure of your account at any time.
JJOBB may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if:
• you breach these Terms;
• you provide false or misleading information;
• you misuse the Platform;
• your activity creates a legal, security, or operational risk;
• suspension is required by law; or
• JJOBB discontinues the relevant service.
Information already shared with a company or recruitment agency may be retained by that organisation under its own policies and legal obligations.

13. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform and its content are provided on an “as available” basis.
JJOBB does not guarantee that:
• the Platform will meet your requirements;
• recruitment opportunities will be suitable;
• job information will be accurate or current;
• you will be contacted, interviewed, or hired;
• the Platform will always be available or secure; or
• information submitted through the Platform will never be lost, accessed, or compromised.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JJOBB is not responsible for losses arising from:
• inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information;
• the actions or decisions of users, companies, or recruitment agencies;
• the use or storage of information by a recipient after lawful disclosure;
• unwanted contact by another user;
• third-party websites, services, or content;
• your failure to protect your account;
• unauthorised access caused by your actions or omissions; or
• loss of income, employment, business, opportunity, reputation, or data.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Where liability may legally be limited, JJOBB’s total liability will not exceed the amount you paid to JJOBB during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim, or S$100 if you paid no fees.

15. Your Responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate JJOBB and its officers, employees, agents, service providers, and affiliates for reasonable claims, losses, costs, and legal expenses arising from:
• your breach of these Terms;
• your unlawful use of the Platform;
• Your Content;
• your violation of another person’s rights; or
• your misuse of another person’s information.

16. Privacy
JJOBB’s Privacy Policy explains how JJOBB handles personal information.
The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms. If there is a conflict concerning the handling of personal information, the Privacy Policy will apply to that issue.

17. Changes to These Terms
JJOBB may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on the Platform with a revised “Last updated” date. Where required by law, JJOBB will provide additional notice or obtain further agreement. Continued use of the Platform after updated Terms take effect means that you accept the revised Terms, unless applicable law requires another form of acceptance.

18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
The courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform.
